Onomatopoeia is one of the most difficult elements to learn for foreign learners because it is rarely found in other countries.

 

For example, expressions such as 「お腹がシクシク痛む」 or 「頭がズキズキする」are useful for accurately describing one’s physical symptoms to a doctor at a hospital, but they are not so easy for foreign learners to use.

 

It is not so easy for foreign learners to use, because the meanings of “シクシク” and “ズキズキ” are not to be understood by thinking, but by feeling.

 

In the manga, the “ヒュー” and “ビュー” represent the sound of the wind, and the “ワクワク” and “じぃ～ん”, etc.

 

It is also a good idea to watch the manga while doing the lesson.
